Two armed robberies and a home burglary happened in Santa Ana today

It was a hot and muggy day today in Santa Ana – and the criminals were more active than usual.  A man robbed another man at gunpoint this morning at the Chevron located at 3301 South Bristol St., which is just west of Saddleback High School, and another robber robbed a 7-Eleven store at 1700 East Dyer, after brandishing a knife, according to the O.C. Register.

The robber at the Chevron gas station made off with an unknown amount of cash but he was eventually arrested.  The robber at the 7-Eleven got away with an unknown amount of money.

The bad guys weren’t happy just targeting our local businesses on Saturday.  A burglar stole an unknown amount of cash and jewelry on Saturday night from a Santa Ana home, sometime before 8:20 p.m., in the 2100 block of West Civic Center, just a few blocks west of El Salvador Park, according to the O.C. Register.

Neighbors said that a man in his 30’s or 40’s was seen near the residence at the time but the police have not made any arrests.

The robbery at the Chevron gas station occurred in Ward 4, which is represented by Santa Ana Councilman David Benavides.

The robber at the 7-Eleven store occurred in Ward 1, which is represented by Santa Ana Mayor Pro Tem Vince Sarmiento.

The home burglary occurred in Ward 5, which is represented by Santa Ana Councilman Roman Reyna.
