Trump picked a 19-year old realtor to decide who gets drafted in Orange County

Mark Vladimir Prizmic, a 19-year-old Realtor from Anaheim, California, was recently appointed by president Trump to serve as the new board member of the Orange County Selective Service System (SSS) Board.

According to the official site of the United States Government: Selective Service System, the mission statement of the SSS is “to furnish manpower to the Defense Department during a national emergency, to manage alternative service for men classified as conscientious objectors, and to register, with only a few exceptions, all male U.S. citizens and male immigrants residing in the United States who are ages 18 through 25…”.

As with all SSS board members, Mark’s term will last 20 years, and he is expected to complete his Initial Board Member Training (IBMT) before September 30th, 2017. Upon completion of his IBMT, he will be on record as the youngest Selective Service System Board Member in Orange County ever to serve.

Mr. Prizmic states that he’s honored to be given the opportunity to serve his country by occupying such an essential position in the U.S Government. “With Orange County being the 6th most densely-populated county in the U.S, it’s without doubt that, in the event of a national emergency, Orange County will be expected to take initiative in supplying the Department of Defense with a significant quantity of troops. However, although I will be in charge of assembling the militia in Orange County, I want to let the people of my county know this: I’m here for you. If the draft were to ever become reactivated, feel free to contact me and tell me your story. I will be more than willing to consider exempting you from the draft or making any other exceptions for you.”
