This week’s Cochino List includes Velvet Lounge, Las Gueritas and Fancy Cake Bakery

The OC Health Care Agency has released a list of the eateries (including restaurants, caterers and even school kitchens) that they inspected and shut down for the week of Aug. 24 to 31, 2018. Most of these eateries reopen pretty quickly after the health inspectors determine their issues have been resolved. Here is the list:

  • Fancy Cake Bakery & Restaurant, 12273 Westminster Ave., Suite B, Santa Ana, Closed: Aug. 28, Reason: Cockroach infestation, Reopened: Aug. 29

  • China Bowl Express, 11041 Warner Ave., Fountain Valley, Closed: Aug. 24, Reason: Employee restrooms non-functioning, Reopened: Aug. 28
  • Kitchen at Hilton, 777 W. Convention Way, Anaheim, Closed: Aug. 30, Reason: Cockroach infestation
  • Moose The Family Fraternity, 9901 Bixby Ave., Garden Grove, Closed: Aug. 29, Reason: Rodent infestation, Reopened: Aug. 30
  • Ruben’s Bakery, Jugos y Tortas, 3024 W. Ball Road, Suite C, Anaheim, Closed: Aug. 29, Reason: Insufficient hot water, Reopened: Aug. 29
  • Mansion, 841 Baker St., Costa Mesa, Closed: Aug. 31, Reason: Insufficient hot water
  • The Low-key Poke Joint, 9904 Westminster Ave., Garden Grove, Closed: Aug. 29, Reason: Rodent infestation, Reopened: Aug. 30
