This week’s Cochino List includes Crave and three other Santa Ana restaurants

The O.C. Health Care Agency has released a list of the eateries (including restaurants, caterers and even school kitchens) that they inspected and shut down for the week of June 4 to June 12. Most of these eateries reopen pretty quickly after the health inspectors determine their issues have been resolved.

  • The Pizza Press, 117 W. 4th St., Suites 101-102, Santa Ana, Closed: June 10, Reason: Insufficient hot water, Reopened: June 11
  • El Tapatio Restaurant, 1214 E. Pomona St., Santa Ana, Closed: June 10, Reason: Insufficient hot water, Reopened: June 11
  • Sun’s Donuts, 15450 Beach Blvd., Westminster, Closed: June 10, Reason: Cockroach infestation, Reopened: June 11
  • Subway, 17860 Newhope St., Suite 101, Fountain Valley, Closed: June 10, Reason: Sewage overflow, Reopened: June 10
  • Wingstop, 15124 Goldenwest St., Westminster, Closed: June 10, Reason: Insufficient hot water, Reopened: June 10
  • Pho Lantern, 1113 N. Harbor Blvd., Fullerton, Closed: June 9, Reason: Sewage overflow, Reopened: June 10
  • Thai Delight, 142 E. Riverdale Ave., Orange, Closed: June 9, Reason: Rodent infestation, Reopened: June 9
  • You & I Thai Cuisine, 623 N. Euclid St., Anaheim, Closed: June 9, Reason: Cockroach infestation
  • Thai Bamboo Bistro, 2417 Park Ave., Tustin, Closed: June 8, Reason: Cockroach infestation, Reopened: June 11

  • Some of those places literally just reopened. You or whoever you copy and paste this article from because that’s your style , are taking the low hanging fruit.

    • That list comes directly from the Orange County Dept. of Health. If you look closely you will see that several of the violations were for a lack of hot water. It is vital now to provide hot water for folks to wash their hands. IF a restaurant lacks hot water how are their own employees washing their hands?

      These restaurants were closed for weeks. They had plenty of time to clean up their messes. We held off on posting this column until now. There are no excuses now. They need to follow public safety ordinances.
