Earlier this week, police detectives conducted a vehicle stop based on California Vehicle Code violations they observed, according to the Westminster Police Department.
After talking with the driver, the suspect informed the detectives that he had over $3,000 and a large quantity of suspected Adderall pills.
The detectives found evidence of drug sales and booked the individual at OCJ on drug/drug sales-related charges.
Adderall is the combination of dextroamphetamine and amphetamine. This drug is used as part of a treatment program to control symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD; more difficulty focusing, controlling actions, and remaining still or quiet than other people who are the same age). Adderall is used to treat ADHD in adults and children 3 years of age and older. Dextroamphetamine and amphetamine (Adderall) is also used to treat narcolepsy (a sleep disorder that causes excessive daytime sleepiness and sudden attacks of sleep) in adults and children 12 years of age and older. Adderall is also used illicitly as an athletic performance enhancer, cognitive enhancer, appetite suppressant, and recreationally as a euphoriant. It is a central nervous system (CNS) stimulant of the phenethylamine class, according to Wikipedia.
