The SAUSD School Board appoints a new Deputy Superintendent of Educ. Services

The Santa Ana Unified School District Board of Education appointed David Haglund Ed.D to the position of Deputy Superintendent of Educational Services

The Santa Ana Unified School District Board of Education appointed David Haglund Ed.D to the position of Deputy Superintendent of Educational Services during the December 10, 2013 Board meeting. “I am excited to join the great work in which SAUSD students and staff are engaged and look forward to contributing in a way that ensures each student is well-prepared to achieve their future goals. Thank you to Dr. Miller and the SAUSD Board of Trustees for entrusting me with this important work.”

Dr. Haglund is currently the Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Support for the Riverside Unified School District where his areas of responsibility includes educational accountability, assessments, program evaluation, network and computer services, instructional technology and international studies. He has been in education for 27 years both as a teacher and administrator and is actively engaged in the professional community concerned with the impact of technology on teaching and learning.

His educational background includes a Doctorate of Educational Leadership from University of Southern California, Master of Science in Educational Leadership from California Baptist University and a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Trinity College.
