The SAPD seized a lot of guns during the week of July 15 to July 24

The SAPD had a very busy week of gun seizures from July 15 to July 24. Here is a recap:

SAPD gang detectives conducted a probation check at the residence of a gang member. During a search of the residence the detectives located a loaded .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun and ammunication. The probationer was booked for firearm violations.

SAPD MET detectives attempted to contact two subjects while patrolling in the area of 17th St. and Buena St.

Both of the suspects ran. One of the suspects was detained with a loaded firearm. The other suspect was located and detained without incident.

Both suspects were booked for weapons and probation violations.

SAPD Directed Patrol officers conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver who had a suspended license. During a search of the vehicle the officers located a loaded 9mm ghost gun.

SAPD officers responded to a report of a suspect brandishing a gun in an apartment complex. Police officers observed the suspect’s vehicle leaving the complex and conducted a traffic stop. During a search of the vehicle the officers recovered a loaded firearm.

SAPD gang detectives served a search warrant at the 200 block of E. Gertrude Place regarding a suspect in possession of illegal firearms.

During the search the detectives seized the firearms related to the investigation.

SAPD police officers served a search warrant at the 100 block of S. Pacific Ave. related to a shooting incident and recovered three rifles, armor plates and several boxes of ammunition.

SAPD Civic Center patrol officers conducted a traffic stop for vehicle code violations. During a search of the vehicle the officers located an unregistered firearm and narcotics. The arrestee was a convicted felon and a documented gang member.
