On Sunday, April 2, 2023, at approximately 2:07 a.m., Officers responded to the area of Ross St. and St. Gertrude Pl. of a report of a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian, according to the SAPD.
When police and fire personnel arrived, they located Joshua Cervantes, a 21-year-old, lying in the roadway unresponsive. Despite lifesaving measures at a local trauma center, he succumbed to his injuries later that morning.
Traffic Detectives are encouraging anyone with information regarding this case to come forward and help bring closure to family/friends.
