According to involved parties and witnesses, the victim was crossing 4th in a southerly direction at Santa Fe on a motorized scooter in an unmarked crosswalk as vehicles approached from both directions. As a vehicle approaching from the east swerved to avoid striking the victim, he quickly turned his scooter to the left causing it to tip over resulting in him striking his head on the roadway. The victim died from his injuries today at 11:17am.
