The SAPD arrested a woman who confessed to fatally stabbing a man last night

On Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 8:39 PM, Santa Ana Police Communications received a report of a stabbing that occurred along the railroad tracks at 2200 S. Beeson Lane.

SAPD police officers responded and located a male down suffering from an apparent stab wound to his upper torso. Orange County Fire Authority arrived on scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

The Orange County Coroner’s Division is conducting their investigation and working to identify the victim who is a male adult in his 30’s.

Officers detained a female suspect at the scene who made incriminating statements. A knife used to stab the victim was recovered at the scene. Homicide detectives interviewed the suspect who admitted to stabbing the victim during an altercation.

With the concurrence of the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, the suspect will be booked into the Santa Ana Jail for PC 187(a), Murder.

Detectives are attempting to identify and locate any witnesses who can provide additional information.

The motive for the murder appears to be a result of an ongoing dispute. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call SAPD Homicide Section Detectives at (714) 245-8390, or Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1-855-TIP-OCCS.
