The Santa Ana City Council will meet today to discuss setting up their own COVID-19 testing and vaccination program

The Santa Ana City Council has called a special meeting for today, Jan. 7, 2021, at 2 p.m. The meeting agenda is available here.

The main topic on today’s agenda is:

APPROPRIATE $250,000 OF GENERAL FUND RESERVE FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF COVID-19 TESTING AND VACCINATIONS AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS WITH QUALIFIED VENDORS FOR THESE SERVICES (TOTAL FUNDING NOT TO EXCEED $750,000)

During the state of emergency in place during the COVID-19 pandemic, and in compliance with the State stay-at-home order, no physical location will be provided for city meetings. The meetings will instead be live-streamed from remote locations.

To watch the meeting without participating, please visit the City’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/cityofsantaanavideos or watch it on the City’s TV channel, CTV3, available on Spectrum channel 3 and AT&T U-verse channel 99.

Speaking during the meeting will be done through Zoom. You must sign up to speak, and then be present in the Zoom conference during the item that you would like to speak on. If you do not sign up to speak, you will not be allowed into the Zoom conference.

TO SIGN UP TO SPEAK DURING A MEETING:
1. Click on the “Sign Up To Speak” tab below.
2. Scroll down to the list of meetings and click on the MICROPHONE ICON to the right of the meeting during which you want to speak.
3. Check the item(s) on which you would like to speak.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the list of items and click NEXT.
5. Select your position: For | Against | No Position. Click NEXT.
6. ENTER YOUR NAME AS IT APPEARS IN YOUR ZOOM ACCOUNT.
7. Click SUBMIT.

After you have signed up to speak and before the item(s) you signed up to speak on is taken up, you will need to join the Zoom conference. To do this, click on the “Watch the Meeting” tab below and click on the large blue ZOOM BUTTON.
