After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Santa Ana Cemetery is once again hosting an in-person Memorial Day Program. The event will take place at the Soldier’s Monument by the gate off of Santa Clara Avenue and will start at 10:00 a.m. The event will take place rain or shine and attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.
The observance is organized by the Tri-City Memorial Day Committee and includes participation from multiple organizations in Santa Ana, Tustin and Orange. The program includes a Parade of Flags, guest speakers, inspirational readings, a wreath presentation, special music by the Orange High School Chamber Singers and both Cannon and Honor Rifle Salutes. The Orange County Cemetery District wishes to thank all of the many volunteers who are making this program possible.
In honor of the holiday, flags will be placed on all of the Veterans graves.
