The OC Sheriff is on the hunt for a man who grabbed a woman at an O.C. trail

The O.C. Sheriff released a sketch on Tuesday afternoon of a man wanted for grabbing a woman from behind as she was walking her dog on a trail in Mission Viejo on Friday, July 21.

The incident happened last Friday, July 21 at around 9:40 p.m., as an adult woman was walking her dog on a trail near the Norman P. Murray Center in the City of Mission Viejo.

The victim reported that an unknown suspect approached her from behind and grabbed her around the waist before dragging her about two feet.

The victim screamed and pushed the suspect away. The victim then ran to her vehicle and fled from the scene. The suspect reportedly did not say anything to the victim either before or after the incident.

The OC Sheriff described the suspect as a Hispanic male, 30 to 40 years-old at a height of about 5’8″. He has buzzed dark hair, a “husky” build, darker skin tone, brown eyes and no facial hair.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a light-colored long sleeve button-down shirt and dark dress pants.

Anyone with information regarding the man or his location was urged to contact the OCSD at 714-647-7000.
