The Irvine Police Department is trying to identify a man who was captured on surveillance video charging over $4,000 for Visa gift cards using stolen credit cards.
The credit cards had been taken from the victim’s wallet, which was in the center console of his unlocked vehicle.
The suspect was wearing a black Coach t-shirt, black shorts and white and black tennis shoes. He had an Edgar style haircut, white ear buds, eyeglasses and a mustached and goatee. He had a fair complexion with indeterminate race and a slim build. He seems quite proud of himself in the surveillance photos.
If you can identify this man, please contact Detective Robinson at 949-724-7432 or email him at mrobinson@cityofirvine.org.
Crime Prevention Tip: Always remember to “Lock it or Lose it.” Secure your vehicle’s door locks and windows, even if you are leaving for a short time. Never leave valuables in plain sight in your vehicle.
