ANAHEIM, Calif. – Police detectives are conducting a homicide investigation after a deceased man was found alongside a roadway in Anaheim Hills, according to the Anaheim Police Department.
On Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at approximately 4 a.m., Anaheim PD and Anaheim Fire & Rescue personnel responded to the 8700 block of East Santa Ana Canyon Road regarding the report of a small fire.
Upon Officers’ arrival, they located a deceased man, 35-year-old Robert Winner, of Long Beach, alongside the roadway. Winner’s body was burned, and his death was determined to be a homicide.
Detectives believe the suspect(s) responsible for killing Winner fled the area in a vehicle. Detectives are looking to speak with anyone who was on Santa Ana Canyon Rd. or State Route 91 on April 9, 2024, between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m.
