DISCOVERY CUBE TO HOST 11TH ANNUAL KIDS’ SUMMER OPPORTUNITY JAMBOREE EVENT ON MARCH 4
The Cube Partners up with Parenting OC Magazine to Showcase Summer Fun and Learning Opportunities for Orange County Families
WHAT: Parenting OC magazine has partnered with Discovery Cube to present the annual Kids’ Summer Opportunities Jamboree event to take place at the iconic Orange County family destination. As the leading hands-on science center for families in Southern California, Discovery Cube will host the Jamboree in the 10,000 square-foot Julianne Argyros Showcase Theater. The Jamboree event is free for all ages. Attendees can also download a free child’s admission coupon to explore Discovery Cube after visiting the Jamboree.
The Jamboree will feature exhibitors specializing in summer fun and learning opportunities for families, including overnight camps, day camps, sports leagues and clinics, outdoor adventures, horse and cattle ranches, surf and swim programs, science and technology camps and more.
In addition to the exhibits, the Jamboree offers a full day of family fun, including meet-and-greet photo opps with Curious George, Jedi knights and those oh-so-popular frozen princesses. Slithery snakes, giant frogs, hairy tarantulas and an alligator from The Reptile Zoo will be competing for attention with hands-on opportunities.
Parenting OC will also host a Cute Kid Cover Contest during the event. Photos will be shared online where the public will vote for the top 10 cutest babies (6 months to 2 years), tots (ages 3 to 5), kids (ages 6 to 9) and tweens (ages 10 to 13). Parenting OC will choose the winner from the finalists and the winner will be featured on the cover of the magazine, which has won national awards for its covers. All nominees are photographed at the event, and will receive a keepsake cover just for entering.
