The City of Santa Ana will unveil their new military recognition banners on May 23

The City of Santa Ana will unveil banners that will be displayed on the City’s streetlight poles along MacArthur Boulevard recognizing Santa Ana’s active military service members on May 23, with a kickoff event to be held at Bomo Koral Park.

The City of Santa Ana is proud to recognize Santa Ana’s military heroes for their service through the City’s Military Banner Program. Family members and loved ones may nominate an active duty service member from any branch of the military to be honored with a street banner with the service member’s name and photo. The banner will be prominently displayed on one of the City’s streetlight poles along MacArthur Boulevard or Civic Center Drive.

To be considered for banner placement, the service member must meet the following qualifications:

  • Be considered active service member of the United States Armed Forces.
  • Have been a Santa Ana resident at the time of enlistment.
