The City of Santa Ana provides masks to seniors and food truck operators

The City of Santa Ana’s Emergency Operations Center recently gave cloth masks to seniors and to food truck operators to help protect public health during the COVID-19 pandemic.

On April 23, the City provided 135 seniors each with a cloth mask, along with a total of 540 frozen meals, at the Santa Ana Senior Center.

Also last month, 500 masks were given to the Santa Ana Food Truck Association, which is helping distribute the masks to over 100 food trucks throughout the City of Santa Ana.

All of the masks had been donated to the City.

Under an executive order signed by Santa Ana City Manager Kristine Ridge on April 15, workers at businesses with four or more employees that have contact with the public are required to wear face coverings. The City urges everyone to wear a mask when in public and especially when around other people.
