The City of Santa Ana is hosting Moon and Mid-Autumn Festivals on Sep, 30 and Oct. 7

The City of Santa Ana – Municipal Government is hosting their second annual Mid-Autumn Festival, which is also known as the Moon Festival at Centennial Park on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 4 p.m.-9 p.m.

This event highlights Asian cultures and the Vietnamese members of our community. Traditionally this festival is meant to be a celebration of the fall harvest and full moon, a time when families get together to enjoy each other’s company and the bountiful harvests after a year of labor and care. The event is free and family-friendly.

Guests can look forward to:

  • Cultural performances, including a lion dance
  • Drum performances
  • Kids zone
  • Fashion show
  • Food vendors
  • Exhibitors
  • Moon cakes and lanterns distributed while supplies last, starting at 5:00 p.m.

Centennial Park is located at 3000 W. Edinger Ave., Santa Ana, CA 92704.

Interested in becoming a vendor at this event? Contact the Santa Ana special events team at specialevents@santa-ana.org to receive more information. All vendor applications must be submitted by September 21st, to be considered.

The Santa Ana Public Library is also hosting a Moon Festival, on Saturday, Sep. 30, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at their Newhope Branch, located at 122 N Newhope St, Santa Ana, CA 92703.

This event will feature spectacular lion dance, bilingual storytime, and lantern making for the whole family. Of course, there will also be mooncakes for everyone, while supplies last.
