The City of Santa Ana Public Work Agency joined the community to unveil a classic monument clock tower on Saturday, October 14, in the median at the intersection of N. Flower and W 15th Streets.
Mayor Valerie Amezcua along with Councilmembers Phil Bacerra, Johnathan Ryan Hernandez, Benjamin Vazquez and David Penaloza did the honor of unveiling the clock tower.
The clock tower commemorates the two adjacent neighborhoods, Washington Square and Willard. The monument resulted from the median reconstruction on these streets following a recent sewer construction project.
It is an atomic clock, so it sets itself, automatically adjusts to daylight saving time and provides the most accurate time. It is currently being synced to the correct time and will be rewrapped while being adjusted.
