The construction of public projects is considered an essential service and is exempt from Gov. Gavin Newsom’s executive order to stay at home to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. Therefore, the work on City of Santa Ana construction projects will continue as scheduled.
Since most businesses, schools, churches and community facilities are closed, the City has the opportunity to extend the hours of construction activity on citywide projects. This opportunity will accelerate the completion time for projects and reduce the time the community is impacted by the activities. All construction activities are weather permitting and subject to change.
Safety is our top priority; construction workers will be following all health and safety guidelines. Construction activity will be mindful of surrounding neighborhood streets and critical resources. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for understanding this opportunity to accelerate the citywide construction.
A list and map of construction projects is at www.santa-ana.org/pw/construction-project-map.
