Teen arrested after a fatal stabbing in North Orange County

On Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at approximately 6:13 PM, Fullerton Police Officers responded to the 2400 block of W. Valencia Ave. regarding reports of a fight in progress.

Upon arrival, officers located two 20-year-old males, both with significant stab wounds, lying in the street. Fullerton Police Officers immediately began life-saving measures on both victims. One male victim was transported to a local trauma center, where he was pronounced deceased. The second victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.

Fullerton Police Detectives responded that night and immediately began their investigations. They worked diligently interviewing several people, canvassing the scene, and collecting evidence. Detectives were able to develop several leads to identify a suspect.

Today, July 5, 2024, less than 48 hours after the crime, Fullerton Police Detectives arrested a sixteen-year-old male juvenile for his involvement in the homicide. The juvenile was taken to Orange County Juvenile Hall where he was booked on suspicion of murder. Because of his age, no additional identifying information will be released.

The investigation is still on-going. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact FPD Crimes Persons Detective L. Ramirez at (714) 738-5334. Those wishing to provide information anonymously can call the Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1(855) TIP-OCCS or can visit their website at www.p3tips.com/913.
