Take the OC Bus to the OC Fair for $2 per ride and avoid parking fees and traffic

ORANGE – The OC Fair returns Friday, July 14, and the Orange County Transportation Authority encourages those headed to the fair to catch a ride on an OC Bus.

Several OC Bus routes run to destinations near the entrances to the OC Fair. The bus fares are low cost – and in some cases free – and help fair-goers avoid parking hassles and extra costs.

OC Bus provides a safe, reliable and air-conditioned ride. The cost to ride OC Bus is just $2 per ride or $5 for a day pass. Orange County youth ages 6 to 18 who have a Youth Ride Free pass can hop aboard for no cost.

Times of service vary by bus route, so passengers are urged to plan their trip in advance at www.ocbus.com or by downloading the Transit App on a mobile device.

Although the OC Fair Express is not available this year, regular OC Bus routes that run to the OC Fair include:

  • Route 47 – Fullerton to Newport Beach, via Anaheim Boulevard/Fairview Street
  • Route 55 – Santa Ana to Newport Beach, via Standard Avenue, Bristol Street, Fairview Street and 17th Street
  • Route 71 – Yorba Linda to Newport Beach, via Tustin Avenue, Red Hill Avenue and Newport Boulevard.
  • Route 178 – Huntington Beach to Irvine, via Adams Avenue, Birch Street and Campus Drive.

This year’s OC Fair, themed “Happy Together,” runs July 14 through Aug. 13 on Wednesdays through Sundays (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.) For more information on the fair, visit www.ocfair.com.
