A secretive drug investigation culminated in the detention of two men and two women at a suspected drug house in Santa Ana on Thursday morning by the OC Sheriff Department’s SWAT team and detectives, who were trying to serve a search warrant, according to the O.C. Register.
The house, at the 1900 block of South Main Street, was very well fortified, which led investigators to believe that weapons were involved, which is why they brought in their SWAT team.
The Sheriff’s team was prepared to serve the warrant as early as 4 a.m. The SAPD was not involved in the operation.
The house turned out to be equipped with security cameras. Investigators found drugs, cash and possibly some weapons.
The suspects were not initially arrested as the investigators searched through their home. The SWAT Team cleared the site by 8 a.m.
This incident happened in an area ringed by restaurants including Mariscos Hector #1, El Chili Picante, Restaurant Mary and Taqueria El Rincon, in Santa Ana’s Ward 1, which is represented by Mayor Pro Tem Vince Sarmiento.
