Segerstrom High School senior Jonathan Espinoza has done it again – even as he struggles to collect enough donations to pay for his registration fee at Georgetown University, he has landed an interview with NBC reporter Colleen Williams, to talk about Project SELF – “a program that helps low-income minorities in Orange County with internships at legal firms and how it has helped him pursue his future career,” according to NBC News.

Congratulations Jonathan!  I have a feeling those donations are going to really start rolling in now!

  • Stanley,

If there is one thing I do is respect people, no matter where you come from and what your opinion is. I respect people for who they are no matter what their color or side of the aisle is. However, when you make it personal, you have draw the line my friend.

Learn how to respect people first, learn to respect who they are, because before everything, we are PEOPLE! You made this personal, and honestly, I won't continue this because as the old saying goes...

"Never wrestle with a pig: You both get all dirty, and the pig likes it. Thus never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience."

My statement is public, will remain public and I do it full knowingly! Learn how to respect people Stanley! You will never get elected to office, you have no manners nor respect for people, and stop hiding behind keyboards and a computer screen with all your hate!

    • "Learn how to respect people Stanley!"...... Hmmmmm

Do not ever use word "Learn" with me you punk!

You have long way to go to get where I am.

  • Watch out, Jonathan. Stanley's ex-KGB or Stasi or something like that. He can kill ya with his feet.

  • Congrats Jonathan...a full ride to any school is something to be proud of and a reward for hard work. Hopefully you learned quite a bit during your time at the law firm you worked at and you were able to bank some of that money while you were at the law firm.

Being someone who is at a professional services firm- I would highly recommend that the firm knows your economic situation with the application fee. I am sure the firm, if not even one of the partners you worked with, would be more than happy to pay your app fee. This is especially true if they in deed do want you to come back and work for them. It may be the best $900 that they ever spend. Talk to the right person and I got to believe that they will step right up because they do see it as good investment.

You seem like someone who has a good head on their shoulders and is motivated to be successful. As the study in the book "The Millionaire Mind" (a very good read) indicates, often financially successful (no, that should not be the only goal) people are told over and over that they "can't" and they become motivated by that. Hopefully you are one who is motivated by naysayers. Go for it!

      • "So far we have raised $300 for Jonathan."...... Hmmmmm

Any decent and proud person would earn such mount and entire $900 by now.

The liberal socialist cowards will rely on others to work hard to earn the money for them.

You are all supporting a cancer of this society.

Well, you are already eating its fruits.

"There's a sucker born every minute"

        Enjoy!

  • I should add that educating minorities who can't afford it is waste of money.

The good example is Solorio who allegedly have Yale University yet his accomplishments are virtually same as Rocco's.

It probably cost to educate Solorio 500K of tax money and what you Latinos got back?..... Huh?

His character is equal to a dog licking every hand which holds a cookie because he can't even endorse a Latino on solid bases.

    So keep dreaming Admin.

NICE! GROWN MAN FIGHTING WITH A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT.

JONATHAN, FIALA HATES THE WORD LEARN AS HE IS HAPPY BEING IGNORANT.

AT YOUR YOUNG AGE YOU ARE ALREADY WAY BEYOND WHERE FIALA IS. FIALA DOES NOT KNOW THIS BECAUSE HE LIVES IN HIS FANTASY WORLD.

    • "JONATHAN, FIALA HATES THE WORD LEARN AS HE IS HAPPY BEING IGNORANT."....... Hmmmmmm

Dr. Amalgam, I believe that in my prior comments I have sufficiently explain to you that acquired intellect does not increases nor it has any effect on the intelligence quotient ("IQ").

There is a limit how far you can train a monkey to become Dr. Amalgam.

To believe otherwise is gravely deficient assumption which is clearly apparent from Jonathan behavior who gets about 250K+ scholarship and is totally incapable (based on his low IQ) to figure out how to obtain $900 for a registration fee, thus adopting same techniques as a mentally retarded (politically correct - "challenged") beggar on the street.

  • Art Lomeli,

What makes you think Stanley is a grownup? He talks like a 9 year old bully on the playground (albeit, a Stasi playground). AFAIK, no one has ever seen Stanley. How do we know this isn't some "Wizard of Oz" production?

  • Jeff,

Fiala is real. He shows up often at Council meetings to give advice in the same disrespectful method he uses here.

He is a political refugee from the Czech Republic. Apparently he has involved in the overthrow of the government running Czechoslovakia at the time and applied and was accepted as a political refugee receiving all the social giveaways given to refugees that he criticizes and has contempt towards individuals that recieve social aid.

He is married to a Mexican has half Mexican children even though as you read he states that Mexicans have genetic low IQ and possess a culture of being lazy.

He beats his wife ......was jailed for spousal abuse.

YOU GET THE PICTURE HE IS A CARTOON.

  • Your comments are only an opinion of a quasi intellectual who so wishes had the intellect not to sound completely stupid.

  • "Your comments are only an opinion of a quasi intellectual who so wishes had the intellect not to sound completely stupid."....... Hmmmmmm

I never claim to be intellectual nor quasi intellectual nor I need any intellect.

However, mi high IQ in the wold of the monkeys is priceless.
