Santa Ana’s City Hall is closed today, January 21, 2013, in honor of the Federal holiday that is Martin Luther King Day, as per the City’s Closure Schedule.
There has been no notice from City Hall regarding Street Sweeping or Trash Collection services scheduled for today. Our advice is to proceed as if the services will be conducted as normally scheduled. Keep in mind that these services are provided by contractors who most likely don’t observe the MLK holiday. Click here to see the street sweeping schedule.
City Hall does advise that “When New Year’s Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day is observed on a weekday, collections for the remainder of the week will be delayed one day. When refuse collection and street sweeping occur on the same day, please place your carts on top of the curb to allow the street sweeper to clean the curbs and gutters.”
