CITY HOSTS FLAG RAISING CEREMONY TO HONOR VETERAN’S DAY
SANTA ANA, CA (October 31, 2012) – To commemorate the upcoming Veteran’s Day holiday and to recognize the service and contributions made by U.S. Military Veterans, The City of Santa Ana, Santa Ana WORK Center in partnership with the State of California Employment Development Department will host a Flag Raising Ceremony and Job Fair.
The ceremony will begin on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 8:30 am, at the Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center, located at 1000 E. Santa Ana Blvd, Santa Ana. The event will begin with a flag raising ceremony and will conclude with a Job Fair from 9 am to 12 pm. This event is open to the public, there is no cost to attend, and parking is free. Job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally and bring plenty of resumes.
Approximately 45 employers representing various industries will be seeking qualified job applicants for a variety of career opportunities. The list of employers includes, but is not limited to: Coast Composites Inc, School First Federal Credit Union, Verizon Wireless, Terminix, UPS, Verengo Solar, Kaiser Permanente, Hyundai Motor America, Geotest Marvin Test Systems, Inc., National Oilwell Varco, Costco, Universal Protection, Department of Homeland Security U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services.
