Community: Climate Action Plan Community Meeting

SANTA ANA, CA (March 13, 2012) – The City of Santa Ana is developing a Climate Action Plan to help improve the environment. The Climate Action Plan will outline strategies to reduce Santa Ana’s greenhouse gas emissions from both the City’s municipal operations and the community. The public is invited to join us in this discussion.

WHO: Santa Ana residents, businesses, and organizations

Our goal in developing a Climate Action Plan is to lay the groundwork for creating an environmentally friendly future and to make the city a better place in which to live and work. Many of the strategies and measures will reinvest in the community through benefits such as improved air quality, reduced energy and water use, reduced traffic congestion, as well as other environmental improvements.

The meeting will provide an opportunity for the community to learn about and participate in the process of creating the Climate Action Plan and to discuss the greenhouse gas emissions inventory. Citizens are welcome to provide feedback and share their ideas. This is your chance to make a difference in your community!
