Community Alert: Santa Ana Hosts Bicycle Safety Forum

SANTA ANA, CA (February 4, 2014) – The public is invited to a Bicycle Safety Forum at the City of Santa Ana’s Main Library on Saturday, February 22nd, 2014 from 3 to 5 p.m. The purpose of this forum is to provide the community with the opportunity to focus on the safety challenges that exist when you bike in Santa Ana. Participants of all ages are welcome, and are not limited to only bicyclists.

The community will have the opportunity to participate in a survey, and join different feedback focus stations to provide ideas and suggestions that will be used to help in the development of a bicycle safety program for the community.

Bicycle Safety feedback focus areas:

• Streets
• Bike Trails
• Bike Lanes
• Sidewalks
• Bike Security

This Bicycle Safety Forum is being produced in response to feedback received from the community at the August 24th, 2013 Youth Bicycle Forum.

The event will take place at the Santa Ana Main Library, 26 Civic Center Plaza. It is on the corner of Civic Center Drive and Ross Street. This forum will be in Room A, on the Second Floor. The Bicycle Safety forum will be free and open to the public. For more information, contact Michelle Yonemoto at (714) 647-5265.
