On March 19, 2024, Santa Ana Police Department Detectives arrested Daniel Mondragon (27) of Santa Ana for a violation of Penal Code § 311.11(a)—Felony Possession of Child Pornography, according to the SAPD.
The investigation was initiated by a Civilian Investigator assigned to the Los Angeles Regional Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force who learned that Mondragon was downloading Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) over the internet.
As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was served at a residence located in the 1600 block of W. Richland Avenue in Santa Ana, California where electronic devices were seized and evidence relating to the downloading of child pornography was located.
