Santa Ana Down Payment Assistance Workshop set for tonight

The City of Santa Ana is pleased to announce the availability of financing to assist Income qualified Santa Ana residents an opportunity to become first-time homeowners. The program is funded through the City of Santa Ana Inclusionary Housing Fund and Community Development Block Grant program. The Program offers zero percent, deferred payment loans of up to $80,000 for Low Income Households and up to $40,000 for Moderate Income Households.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Borrower(s) must be a resident of Santa Ana and/or work in Santa Ana at least 32 hours per week for at least the last 6 months.
• In addition, Borrower(s):
• Must be pre-qualified for a 1st mortgage
• Must be a first time homebuyer
• Make a down payment of at least 3% from own funds
• Must complete the Homebuyer Counseling Program through NeighborWorks of Orange County
• Home must be located in Santa Ana
• Total Annual Income of the household, cannot exceed the Income limits provided below:

A homebuyer informational meeting will be held at the City of Santa Ana Council Chambers (22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA) on Thursday, September 26, at 6:00 p.m.

La Ciudad de Santa Ana se complace en anunciar el Programa de Préstamo de Asistencia para el Pago Inicial que brinda financiamiento especial para comprar su primera vivienda. El Programa ofrece una tasa de interés del cero por ciento, préstamos de pago diferido de hasta
$ 80,000 para Hogares de Bajos Ingresos y hasta $ 40,000 para Hogares de Ingresos Moderados.

Requisitos de elegibilidad
• Debe ser residente de Santa Ana y/o trabajar en Santa Ana por lo menos 32 horas por semana durante los últimos 6 meses (excepto veteranos militares de los EE. UU.)
• Debe ser precalificado para una primera hipoteca de un prestamista privado
• Debe ser un comprador de vivienda por primera vez (una persona sin interés en la propiedad, o que no ha tenido el “título” de una residencia principal durante un período de tres años anterior a la compra de la propiedad)
• El comprador debe ser capaz de hacer un anticipo de al menos el 3% de su propios fondos
• Debe completar el Programa de Asesoramiento para Compradores de Casa de 8 horas ofrecido por una Agencia de Asesoramiento de Vivienda Aprobada por HUD
• El hogar debe estar ubicado en la ciudad de Santa Ana
• El ingreso anual total del hogar no puede exceder los límites de ingresos actuales:
