Digital Media Center Hosts Open Office Night on November 27

Event Spotlights Digital Media Center Business Incubator Residents

(Santa Ana)—The Digital Media Center (DMC) is hosting an Open Office Night on Tuesday, November 27, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 1300 S. Bristol, Santa Ana. The free event offers participants insights into the innovative work of the DMC Business Incubator’s residents and emerging technologies that can be of professional and personal benefit. Designed with entrepreneurs in mind, the open house will include networking time and a chance to visit the cutting-edge DMC.

The Open Office Night will kick off with registration and networking from 5:30 p.m. to 6:20 p.m. Then the evening will include three sessions of workshops offering participants the choice of one 40-minute workshop per session. All presenters are associated with the DMC Business Incubator’s resident businesses.

Session 1: 6:20 – 7:00 p.m.

· “Energy Efficiency Technologies” will describe two unique approaches to achieving energy efficiency at home and work through technology that measures, monitors, controls, and stores energy.

Presenters: Michael Kamel, CEO/Founder, MelRoK Corporation; and Brian Hagerty, CEO/Founder, Topgallant Group

· “Digital Communities” will describe how to build and maintain viable digital communities that boost customer loyalty and engagement. The session will focus on video, foodies, and parent communities.

Presenters: Daniel Nicholas, CEO/Founder, Mozatros; Tam Rezaei, CEO/Founder, DishClips; and Jeannine Torres, CEO/Founder, The Parent Tree.

Session 2: 7:10 – 7:40 p.m.

· “Digital Technologies” will describe unique approaches in marketing measurement, couponing, TV content, IT services, and viral video ad rewards.

Presenters: Gustavo Leaño, CEO/Founder, TV Green Key; and Anderson Crosby, CEO/Founder Relecom

· “Digital Communities” will describe how to build and maintain viable digital communities that boost customer loyalty and engagement. The session will focus on entrepreneurial and educational communities.

Presenters: Carlos Peña, CEO/Founder, Caypen Media; and Ramesh Sabetiashraf,

CEO/Founder, Reazon Systems

Session 3: 7:50 – 8:30 p.m.

· “Cloud Technologies” will describe two unique approaches that capitalize on cloud systems infrastructure.

Presenters: Marc Monette, CEO/Founder, Compliance Management Systems, Inc.; and Alejandro Espinoza, CEO/Founder, Structum

· “Digital Technologies” will describe unique approaches in marketing measurement, couponing, TV content, IT services, and viral video ad rewards.

Presenters: Martin Nguyen, CEO/Founder, CouponEx; Med Champ, CEO/Founder, Vara Media; and Jack Bicer, CEO/Founder, Septium

“Technology is changing the way we live, communicate, and conduct business,” said Gustavo Chamorro, director of the DMC. “From younger audiences to older adults, technology is being used in ways we could not have imagined years ago. Our Open Office Night will give Orange County an opportunity to hear about new approaches to technology from some of the brightest entrepreneurs in the industry.”

The event is presented by the DMC Business Incubator, an economic development program of Rancho Santiago Community College District. About the Digital Media Center

The Digital Media Center (DMC), an economic development program of Rancho Santiago Community College District (RSCCD) and a Santa Ana College (SAC) instructional center, joins technology, business and education under one roof. The DMC was made possible through a $1.6 million U.S. Department of Commerce grant, land donated by the City of Santa Ana and Measure E funds. The DMC features a RSCCD-hosted business incubator currently nurturing 19 digital media companies and college programs and seminars in the digital media arts, TV/video and business.
