May is Orange County Bike Month, according to the OCTA, which states on their website that “Bicycling is an environmentally friendly, inexpensive, and enjoyable way to get around Orange County. Please support our efforts to get you out of your car and onto a bike. Even for a day! It’s healthy, fun and we’re offering plenty of prizes if you pledge your support.”
Join OCTA Staff, bike stakeholders, and elected officials on a ride around Old Town Orange for the OCTA Bike Rally. We will ride from the Orange Metrolink station to the OCTA Headquarters. You’ll also get a sneak peek at the bikes and kiosks for the new OCTA BikeLink system. Here’s the best part, Metrolink is offering free rides to anyone who boards the train with a bike. So hop on board with your bike and meet us at the Orange Metrolink Station at 7:30 on May 16th.
Share the art and joy of cycling through our month-long Instagram photo contest. Show us why you love to ride, your favorite trail, friends or your bike. Enter as much as you want and you’ll be entered to win great prizes including a Trek commuter bike, cycling bags, and other great gear!Just use the hashtag #bikeOC when you post your photos.
