OCDA to participate in the annual Tet Parade and Tet Festival in Westminster

OCDA CELEBRATES “YEAR OF THE HORSE” THIS WEEKEND AT ANNUAL TET PARADE

ORANGE COUNTY – The Orange County District Attorney’s Office (OCDA) wishes the Vietnamese community a Happy New Year, “Year of the Horse.” In honor of the Vietnamese New Year, the OCDA is proud to participate in the annual Westminster Tet Parade, Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014. District Attorney Tony Rackauckas will participate in the Tet Parade beginning at 10:00 a.m. and the Tet Festival’s opening ceremonies at 1:30 p.m.

The 2014 Tet Parade celebrates the Vietnamese New Year, “Year of the Horse,” with an array of traditional foods, live entertainment, and festive games. The parade is organized by The Vietnamese-American Federation of Southern California and is part of a 3-day long festival which annually includes over 100,000 participants.

The parade will be held at the intersection of Bolsa Avenue and Magnolia Street in Westminster. The Tet Festival’s opening ceremonies will be held at Garden Grove Park in Garden Grove and will be attended by government leaders and community members.

The OCDA would like to wish the Vietnamese community a year of good health and prosperity.
