The Walt Disney World Company pays $36,701,081 in O.C. property taxes

TOP TEN PROPERTY TAX PAYERS – SECURED AND UNSECURED

Orange County Treasurer-Tax Collector Shari L. Freidenrich announced that for 2011 the Top Ten Property Taxpayers, in the secured and unsecured categories in the County of Orange are as follows:

Secured:

1. Irvine Company – $60,233,287
2. Walt Disney World Company – $36,701,081
3. Southern California Edison – $28,049,797
4. The Irvine Company LLC – $15,066,716
5. Irvine Company LLC – $13,538,209
6. Irvine Apartment Communities – $ 9,744,315
7. Pacific Bell Telephone Company – $ 9,000,575
8. Walt Disney World – $ 8,446,094
9. United Laguna Hills – $ 7,282,066
10. Heritage Fields El Toro LLC – $ 7,012,321

Unsecured:

1. Cox Communications, Inc. – $ 2,124,991
2. Garfield Beach CVS LLC – $ 1,805,478
3. The Boeing Company – $ 1,447,168
4. Broadcom Corporation – $ 1,343,412
5. Integrated Healthcare Holding Co. – $ 1,289,542
6. Cambro Manufacturing Company – $ 1,268,113
7. Baker-Hughes Oilfield Operations Inc. – $ 1,245,062
8. Kimberly-Clark Worldwide Inc. – $ 1,220,794
9. Southwest Airlines – $ 1,193,805
10. B Braun Medical Inc. $ 3,539,105

The Irvine Company remains as the #1 secured taxpayer from 2010, but Cox Communications overtook the Boeing Company as the top unsecured taxpayer in 2011. New additions to the Top 10 for unsecured taxes are Garfield Beach CVS LLC, Integrated Healthcare Holding Company, Cambro Manufacturing and Baker Hughes Oilfield Operations Inc.. Taxpayers that dropped off the Top 10 list of unsecured taxpayers are McDonnell Douglas Corporation, Edwards Lifesciences LLC, New Albertson’s, Inc., A&G Inc., 3 M Company and Time Warner Cable LLC.
