Investigators with the Orange County Sheriff’s North Directed Enforcement Team recently arrested a 42-year-old man suspected of burglarizing 10 homes over the last 15 months in North Orange County.
The suspect, a third-strike felon, stole more than $330,000 in items including jewelry, cash and high-end handbags.
Investigators diligently worked to track down the suspect and ultimately caught him burglarizing a home in Villa Park. Investigators were able to recover the stolen property from the most recent crime and return it to the victim.
The suspect seemed to target homes with minimal lighting and heavy shrubbery that provided cover. This is a good reminder for our community to take a look at your home and identify things you may be able to do to prevent property crime. Consider installing light timers, motion-sensor lighting, and home security systems as a deterrent. It’s also a good idea keep bushes and shrubs cut back.

We would love to but we rely on the info provided by the police departments. In this case the OC Sheriff did not identify the suspect.
