DTSA will host Orange County’s second annual Women’s March this Saturday, Jan. 20, at Calle Cuatro Downtown Santa Ana (Corner of 4th and French).
Event Information:
Saturday, January 21, 2016, from 9 AM – 1 PM
What is happening?
In response to the Women’s March on Washington Movement, local OC community groups have come together to organize a march here in OC! Orange County will join sister marches across the nation in sending a message to the incoming administration that women’s rights are human rights and our diverse voices must be heard.
Why is this happening?
The rhetoric of the past election cycle has insulted, demonized and threatened many of us — immigrants, Muslims, Veterans, people who identify as LQBTQ+, Native people, Black and Brown people, people with disabilities, and survivors of sexual assault.
This march is the first step toward unifying our communities and sending a strong message to the new president and his administration that our voices matter.
Who is involved?
The Women’s March on OC is being organized by a wide array of local community groups. We will be posting our partner list shortly.
Is this a protest?
No. This is a peaceful, family-friendly march and rally that aims to unite the many diverse communities in Orange County while sending a powerful message.
How do I join?
All are welcome. To volunteer, email OCWomensMarch@gmail.com
To RSVP, simply let us know you’re coming on FB. Note, this is a free, family-friendly event.
