O.C. Labor Federation celebrates Labor Day at the Santa Ana Zoo

Local politicians lined up to greet those at today’s Labor Day celebration at the Santa Ana Zoo

My son Jacob and I visited the Orange County Labor Federation’s special Labor Day celebration at the Santa Ana Zoo today.

They had a great turnout – and a lot of fun for the families in attendance.  There was a jumper and a sport-themed inflatable attraction; cotton candy, snow cones (raspados!), hot dogs, soda and chips, and plenty of games.

And, as one might expect, a whole bunch of local elected officials and political candidates showed up to greet the attendees.

Assemblyman Dave Jones, who is running for California Insurance Commissioner and “Dr. Bill”

They included State Senators Lou Correa and Gloria Romero California (who is running for Superintendent of Education)  ; Assembly Members Jose Solorio and Dave Jones (who is running for California Insurance Commissioner); and a slew of local elected officials including Santa Ana Councilman Vince Sarmiento; La Habra Councilwoman Rose Espinoza; Anaheim Councilwoman Lorri Galloway; Anaheim Union High School District Trustee Jordan Brandman; current RSCCD Trustee Larry Labrado and past Trustee Alfredo Amezcua; SAUSD Trustee John Palacio; and Orange County Clerk-Recorder Tom Daly.  There were probably a few more too that I didn’t catch.

Here are a few more pictures from the event:
