Earlier this month, deputies and the Community Services Unit (CSU) worked with Target Loss Prevention to successfully arrest some organized retail theft suspects, according to the OC Sheriff’s Mission Viejo station.
Two female suspects were arrested after committing thefts from at least three stores in south Orange County.
Fortunately, deputies were able to recover over nearly $2,000 worth of merchandise and return it to the respective retailers. The recovered merchandise include over the counter medications, vitamins, wine bottles and more.
Both were arrested on charges of Shoplifting, Organized Retail Theft, and Conspiracy.
One suspect was actively on Post-Release Community Supervision (PRCS) after several previous theft, grand theft, and burglary convictions.
The other suspect had FIVE active warrants for theft, drugs, more theft, more drugs, and resisting a peace officer.
Don’t worry, they were also charged with possession of that meth pipe and use of the fraudulent handicapped placard you see in the photos. Unsurprisingly, they admitted to trading stolen merchandise for drugs.
