Nominations are now open for the 2020 Santa Ana Historic Preservation Awards

The City of Santa Ana is proud to announce that nominations are being accepted for the 2020 Historic Preservation Awards. The Historic Preservation Awards are intended to recognize outstanding historic rehabilitation and restoration projects, as well as efforts that have furthered the cause of historic preservation in the City.

Award recipients will be honored by both the Historic Resources Commission and the Santa Ana City Council. In addition, those selected will receive a plaque commemorating their contribution to the City and to preserving Santa Ana’s historic resources.

Nominations will be accepted until Friday, Aug. 14, 2020, at 4 p.m., and may be made by any member of the public. Details regarding eligibility for this award are included with the nomination form on the City’s website at www.santa-ana.org/pb/planning-division/historic-preservation.

Eligibility is based on the following selection criteria:

• The property must be located within the City and included on the Local, State or National Registers of Historic Places.
• The project must have been completed between Jan. 1, 2014, and Dec. 31, 2019.
• The property owner must have obtained proper and required City permits and approvals.
• All projects must meet the intent of the Secretary of the Interior Standards for Rehabilitation.
• Applications can be emailed to Pedro Gomez at pgomez@santa-ana.org or placed in the Planning Division drop-off area located adjacent to the City Hall Ross Annex at 20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92702. The drop-off area will be available Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon).

Las Nominaciones para Premios de Preservación Histórica 2020 Están Abiertas

La Ciudad de Santa Ana tiene el orgullo de anunciar que las nominaciones para los Premios de Preservación Histórica 2020 están siendo aceptadas. Los Premios de Preservación Histórica tienen la intención de reconocer proyectos sobresalientes de rehabilitación y restauración de edificios históricos, así también como esfuerzos que han fomentado la causa de la preservación histórica en la Ciudad.

Los ganadores del premio serán honrados por la Comisión de Recursos Históricos y el Concejo Municipal de Santa Ana. Además, los seleccionados recibirán una placa conmemorativa de su contribución a la Ciudad y la preservación de los recursos históricos de Santa Ana.

Las nominaciones van a ser aceptadas hasta el jueves, 14 de agosto del 2020 a las 4 p.m., y pueden ser entregadas por cualquier miembro del público. Los detalles con respecto a la elegibilidad para estos premios se incluyen con el formulario de nominación en el sitio web de la Ciudad, www.santa-ana.org/pb/planning-division/historic-preservation.

Se basan en los siguientes criterios de selección:

• La propiedad debe estar ubicada dentro de la Ciudad de Santa Ana y incluida en los Registros Locales, Estatales o Nacionales de Lugares Históricos.
• El proyecto debe haber sido completado entre el 1 de enero del 2014 y el 31 de diciembre del 2019.
• El dueño de la propiedad debe haber obtenido los permisos requeridos y aprobaciones de la Ciudad para el proyecto.
• Todos los proyectos deben cumplir con la intención de los Estándares del Secretario del Interior Para la Rehabilitación de Estructuras Históricas.
• Las solicitudes se deben presentar en persona en el mostrador público de planificación, ubicado en el primer piso del Anexo Ross del Ayuntamiento en 20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92702.
• Las solicitudes pueden enviarse por correo electrónico a Pedro Gomez en pgomez@santa-ana.org o colocarse en el área de entrega de la División de Planificación ubicada junto al Anexo Ross del Ayuntamiento en 20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92702. El área de entrega estará disponible de lunes a jueves de las 9 a.m. a las 12 p.m. (mediodía).
