No Santa Ana street sweeping tickets, but public asked to move vehicles

The City of Santa Ana is extending the suspension of street sweeping parking tickets through May 31 but asks the public to move vehicles to allow the streets to be cleaned.

To help maintain beautiful streets in Santa Ana, we appreciate your assistance in moving your vehicle on street sweeping days. To get a clean sweep of the city streets requires parking cars off the street on sweeping day.

If you are not able to move your vehicle so the street sweeper can clean the curb gutters, then we encourage you to sweep to help keep your neighborhood beautiful. Your support in helping keep Santa Ana beautiful is appreciated by the entire community.

Vehicles will not be ticketed for violating street sweeping parking restrictions through May 31. The suspension of street sweeping tickets is retroactive to March 15, so any tickets that may have been received from that date or later do not need to be paid.

All other parking and traffic rules, restrictions and permit requirements remain in effect. However, the City isn’t currently charging penalties for late payment of parking violations.

  • What about people who double park or put their trash cans in the middle? Is there anyone who we can contact to paint parking lines?
