Nightly lane closures for the SR-22 between SR-55 and I-405

Over the next few nights, there will be alternating lanes closures for Westbound SR-22 from SR-55 to I-405 and Eastbound SR-22 from I-405 to SR-55. This work will place new roadway pavement markings. Striping operations will be from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily, from Monday, 8/31/20 through Thursday, 9/3/20.

Please avoid this section of the SR-22 if possible, use the alternative routes on the I-405, SR-91 or as otherwise directed by freeway signs and expect delays. We appreciate your patience while Caltrans’ teams perform this important work to maintain and the public’s freeway markings.

Electronic Freeway Changeable Message signs will also notify drivers about these closures and work updates are also available via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram using Caltrans handle: @CaltransOC

This schedule is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials, and/or construction-related issues. For more information, you may contact the District 12 Public Information Office at (657) 328-6000.

For anyone with sensory disabilities requiring alternate formats (i.e. Braille, large print, sign language interpreter, etc.) and those needing information in a language other than English, please contact Angela Madison at (657) 328-6594 or TTY 711.
