More I-5 construction on Main Street set for this Monday

The I-5 Central Corridor HOV Project is scheduled for construction involving concrete work for the poles on Main Street at Edgewood from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, Nov. 23, 2020. This work requires the closure of the Southbound Main Street right-most curb lane from Walkie Way to just south of Edgewood Road. If possible, please use Broadway southbound instead of Main Street to minimize traffic delays.

OCTA and Caltrans’ construction team has been able to expedite this work while traffic demand has been lower due to COVID-19. Should you have questions or issues with the construction please call (800) 724-0353 or e-mail central5fwy@octa.net.

This project adds an additional carpool lane in each direction on I-5 between SR-55 and SR-57 to reduce traffic congestion, bottlenecks, encourage ride-sharing and improve traffic flow.
