Mayte Santacruz to give the keynote address at the Career College of California graduation on 7/10

Santa Ana native to speak on the power of education to transform lives

Santa Ana, CA – July 6, 2015

Career College of California, nestled in the East End of historic downtown Santa Ana, will hold its Commencement Ceremony at the Bowers Museum at 7 pm on Friday, July 10th. Mayta Santacruz, an associate with Alvarado Smith APC, will be the keynote speaker.

Mayte Santacruz is a native of Santa Ana and a graduate of the Santa Ana School District. She has been given numerous awards for her pro bono work, including the Attorney of the Year Award by the Orange County Public Law Center (2012), the President’s Pro Bono Service Award by the California State Bar (2012) and the Spirit of Volunteerism Award by the Orange County Register (2012). She also created a scholarship fund designed to assist graduates of the Santa Ana School District interested in pursuing a career in law.

When asked about her participation with the July commencement ceremony, Mayte writes, “I am honored and humbled to have been chosen to speak at this year’s commencement ceremony. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share this special day with the 2015 graduates and their families, and be part of this wonderful celebration.”

Career College of California offers training programs in five different career paths that have been carefully selected based on extensive feedback from industry employers throughout Orange County. Students participate in an eight month training program that prepares them for a career in their chosen field. More than 80% of Career College of California’s graduates in 2013/2014 had secured employment upon graduation.*

Over 300 guests are expected to be in attendance at the Commencement Ceremony in support of our latest graduating class, those of which are earning diplomas in all five of our programs, including Business Office Administration, Medical Front Office with Billing and Coding, Medical Assisting, Paralegal or Accounting.
