Coneybeare Cleantech Leaders Conference to Target Drought Crisis in Southern California

Inaugural May 14 event attracts renowned leaders in water conservation and green technology innovation

IRVINE, CALIF – As the region’s water supply becomes more imperiled by the day and global temperatures continue to rise, some of the greatest minds in the clean technology field will be coming to Southern California to discuss the world’s most severe environmental challenges and offer solutions. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 14 at the Eureka Building in Irvine, and admission is $69.

The Coneybeare Cleantech Leaders Conference will feature cost-effective, high-impact and scalable strategies including innovations in water, solar and renewable energy. Venture capitalists, community and government leaders, utility executives, property owners and managers, clean technology companies, and green architectural, engineering, and construction firms will all be part of this inaugural event.

“In order for us to tackle the challenges of climate change, water conservation and energy efficiency, every industry has to contribute to developing a path to a more sustainable future,” said Jerry Yudelson, a LEED fellow, U.S. General Services Administration national peer professional and the author of 13 books on issues such as green marketing and sustainable development. “The Coneybeare Cleantech Leaders Conference is unique in that it will bring together a number of innovators and business disruptors who are thinking up the next generation’s planet-enhancing solutions with key players from the public and private sectors.”

The full-day event will be held at The Eureka Building, a 3-acre campus-style creative office and event space, and will include lunch and happy hour on the patio. Sponsorships and exhibits are available.

“We are so excited to bring this event to Southern California and, particularly, to Orange County,” said Victoria Betancourt, CEO and President of Coneybeare Cleantech, a full-service recruitment firm in the cleantech and renewable energy industries with offices in Santa Ana and San Francisco. “Orange County has emerged as a massive generator of green jobs. The high-caliber of speakers that this conference was able to secure in its first year speaks volumes about our local cluster of innovation. I expect the Coneybeare Cleantech Leaders Conference to be a destination event for many years to come.”
