Community: Mayor Pro Tem Michele Martinez Appointed to the League of California Cities-Latino Caucus Board of Directors

SANTA ANA – Mayor Pro Tem Michele Martinez was recently appointed to serve on the League of California CitiesLatino Caucus Board of Directors. The League’s Latino Caucus is a non-profit official affiliate of the League of California Cities. Established in 1990 as a community resource, the Latino Caucus continues its goal of improving quality of life through advocacy by addressing professional, socio economics, educational, cultural, and political issues.

“The Latino Caucus represents a large portion of California’s population and brings leadership representation to the League to bring awareness to both local and statewide issues that affect all of our cities,” said Mayor Pro Tem Michele Martinez. “I am honored to serve on the Board of Directors and I look forward to collaborating with other city leaders to advocate for and shape future policies that impact our communities,” she added.

The Latino Caucus of the League of California Cities serves as a leader to improve the quality of life, advocate on behalf of the Latino community, and provide, promote, and develop leadership. The Latino Caucus is an effective voice in the development of public policy affecting our cities, constituents, and all of California.

Vice Alcalde Michele Martínez Fue Nombrada a la Junta Directiva del League of California Cities-Latino Caucus

SANTA ANA – Recientemente, Vice Alcalde Michele Martínez fue nombrada para servir en la Junta Directiva del League of California Cities-Latino Caucus. El Latino Caucus es un afiliado oficial del League of California Cities. Establecido en 1990 como un recurso comunitario, el Latino Caucus continúa su meta de mejorar la calidad de vida a través de la defensa de derechos humanos, con lo cual se logra hacer frente asuntos profesionales, socioeconómicos, educativos, culturales y políticos.

“El Latino Caucus da representación para una gran parte de la población de California y brinda representación de liderazgo a la Liga para concienciar a los asuntos locales y estatales que afectan a todas nuestras ciudades”, dijo la Vice Alcalde Michele Martínez. “Me siento honrado de servir en la Junta Directiva y espero colaborar con otros líderes municipales para abogar por y dar forma a las políticas futuras que impactan a nuestras comunidades”, agregó.

El Latino Caucus del League of California Cities sirve como un líder para mejorar la calidad de vida, abogar en nombre de la comunidad Latina, y proporcionar, promover y desarrollar liderazgo.
