While the Major League Baseball All Star game festivities were starting up in San Diego, a man was getting shot and seriously injured in Santa Ana, on Monday night, at around 7:15 p.m., according to the O.C. Register.
The victim, an unidentified man, was shot at least twice in his upper torso, at the intersection of Cypress and Old McFadden Avenues, according to the SAPD.
The man, thought to be between 18 and 20 years of age, was either walking or riding a bike when he was shot.
The SAPD has not yet figured out if this shooting was gang-related.
This latest shooting in our city happened near Lathrop Intermediate School, in Ward 2, which is represented by Council Member Michele Martinez.
