Nayeri’s trial on his charges of kidnapping and torturing a Santa Ana marijuana dispensary owner will start as originally scheduled on Feb. 23.

Tieu’s trial, for charges involving a gang shooting, will start on March 18.

Duong’s trial, for charges of attempted murder in Santa Ana, has not been set.

  • I wonder what Nguyen's motive was. A promise of money? Coercion - like maybe a threat to a family member? Gang or ethnic loyalty?
