CONGRESSWOMAN LORETTA SANCHEZ ENDORSES ERIC M. ALDERETE AS THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR THE SANTA ANA CITY COUNCIL – WARD 3 

SANTA ANA– Chairman of the Santa Ana Planning Commission, Eric M. Alderete, announced today that Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez endorsed his campaign for Ward 3 the Santa Ana City Council – Ward 3.

“I am pleased to endorse Eric Alderete’s candidacy for the Santa Ana City Council – Ward 3. As a strong advocate for economic development, public safety and education, I believe Eric is a leader who will bring change to the City ofSanta Ana,” said Congresswoman Sanchez.

“I am honored to stand with Congresswoman Sanchez.  She has made her reputation for creating new jobs, improving our education system, and protecting our streets. I am proud to have her support” said Alderete.

Alderete’s campaign for the Santa Ana City Council has been endorsed by a broad coalition of local community leaders, business leaders, elected officials and public safety organizations including the Orange County Business Council, the Orange County Coalition of Police and Sheriffs, the Santa Ana Police Officers Association, the Santa Ana Police Management Association, and the Orange County Labor Federation.

Alderete has served on the Planning Commission for over five years and helped create quality housing and jobs inSanta Ana.  A strong advocate for public safety and education, Alderete serves on the Board of Directors of the Santa Ana College Foundation. There, he has helped sustain the college’sVeteransResource Centerwhich provides academic counseling and guidance to military veteran students.  Alderete holds undergraduate and law degrees from theUniversityofCalifornia,Berkeleyand a master degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).  He works as Vice President and Senior Corporate Counsel of a majorSouthern Californiacompany.
