Kicking to Change lives through Martial Arts & Fitness

Toyama Karate-Do USA “Kicking to Change lives through Martial Arts & Fitness”

You are invited to be part of the Martial Arts Showcase & Awards Ceremony

Saturday June 5, 2010

Toyama Karate-Do is an organization that is changing lives of “at risk” youth by providing Karate After School Programs to over 400 students of the Santa Ana Unified School District.

Our mission is to provide alternative activities which highlight the importance of discipline, physical fitness, community service, self-confidence, drug free, and school safety. The programs offered by Toyama promote a positive influence in the lives of students and their families to achieve determination, community awareness and academic excellence.

On June 5, 2010 we will be hosting the 3rd Annual “KARATE SHOWCASE” event at Century High School’s Gym. This will be an end of the year “Award’s Ceremony” to include the participation of approximately 521 Karate Students who have trained in SAUSD & Think Together After School Program as well as the Orange County Educational Arts Academy.

The Karate students will have a chance to compete for a chance to win training equipment for their school training with a two minute group routine. We encourage the participation of organizations, and local businesses in order to promote your services to the 2,000 people in attendance. Last year we had around 1,500 people who came out to the event.

We would love to have you present to celebrate this momentous occasion for the students. There are booths available in order to market your business to the expected 200 people who will attend. In order to get involved we are asking for donations, trade-off’s, gifts, etc.

There are volunteer and sponsorship opportunities for those who would like to help Toyama achieve its noble purpose and raise funds to provide summer programs. We are trying to make a difference one kick at a time, yet we can’t do it on without your support.

Please contact us in order to get more information if you wish to be part of this event. We have also included a short video of last year even www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XNE-C-9aww, flyer, and the registration form.

There will be a meeting at our Studio on May 28, 2010 at 6:00pm for all of you who are interested. The address is 1104 E. 17 St. Unit C, Santa Ana, CA 92701 (Corner of Grand and Lincoln)

Thank you.
